What this covers
This explains, in plain language, how z21 Ventures handles the information you share with us — in particular when you submit your profile through z21.ventures/talent or when a z21 team member records your profile on your behalf.
What we collect
Your name and email; optionally your LinkedIn URL and résumé; and the companies, functions, geographies and notes you choose to share. If you upload a résumé, we also store the text extracted from it so we can understand your background.
Why we use it
To understand your profile and match you to z21 portfolio companies where you'd fit best, and to make a warm introduction when there's a genuine fit. We use automated tools (including AI) to summarize your profile and rank potential matches; a z21 team member reviews before any introduction is made.
Who we share it with
We share your profile with a portfolio company only when there's a genuine fit, and — where possible — with a heads-up to you. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep your profile so we can match you to futureroles as they open — a great fit may appear months later. You stay in control: you can update it, pause it (turn off “open to opportunities”), or delete it at any time.
Your choices
Update your details, pause your search, or delete your profile whenever you like — from the link in your confirmation email (or your profile page once you sign in). You can also ask us to remove your data entirely and we will.
If a z21 team member added you
Sometimes we receive a profile first (for example, you email us or we come across you in a professional group). If a z21 team member records your profile, we'll email you a link to review, update, or remove it — your data is always yours to control.
Security
Your résumé and details are stored privately and are accessible only to the z21 team and, when there's a fit, the relevant company. Résumés are never published to the public web.
